TICO has announced the new members of its industry and consumer councils.
Applications are currently open for the TICO Board of Directors. For industry members considering applying, the Ontario regulator says there are five things you should know.
You’ll have a real voice in shaping TICO’s direction.
Board members help guide strategy, oversee financial stewardship, and ensure TICO is delivering on its mandate in a way that supports both consumer protection and a strong travel marketplace.
Your industry insight matters.
This is an opportunity to bring your professional experience into boardroom decisions, helping ensure TICO’s strategic priorities reflect the realities of today’s travel environment.
You’ll grow as a leader.
Serving on the Board builds your governance experience, strengthens your strategic thinking, and gives you exposure to issues that extend beyond your day-to-day role.
You’ll work alongside experienced leaders from across sectors.
You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, gaining new perspectives and insights from leaders within the travel industry and beyond.
It’s structured and predictable.
A well-structured role that fits alongside your professional commitments, with approximately 40 to 60 hours annually, plus preparation. Meetings are scheduled in advance and include per diem compensation.
