Croatia’s Katarina Line Looks to Connect with Travel Agents

Croatia’s Katarina Line Looks to Connect with Travel Agents

Katarina Line looks to strengthen their relationships with travel agents.

As Croatia-based Katarina Line expands its fleet and land tour options to meet the growing demand for travel to the Mediterranean country, the DMC and small ship cruise company announced its trade show schedule for fall 2018 in North America.

According to Managing Director Daniel Hauptfeld, the shows offer a valuable opportunity to meet one-on-one with industry partners and to educate new agents, who account for more than 98 percent of all their bookings, adding that the company offers a “generous commission structure.” Katarina Line offers an average of 15 percent commission on bookings, but it can go higher, based on volume and any partnership agreement the company reaches with agents.

“Travelers from around the world are discovering the unique appeal of small ship cruising on the Adriatic Sea,” said Hauptfeld.  “We’re also seeing more groups booking our wide range of customizable land tours that reveal Croatia’s historic cities, cultural heritage, gastronomic tradition, and stunning natural attractions, such as Plitvice Lakes National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.”

Hauptfeld noted that Katarina Line can schedule meetings at the booth as well as before and after the trade show. Additionally, representatives can visit agents’ office for a private presentation and staff training.

Katarina Line representatives will be in Sacramento, California on September 21–23; and in Ohio from September 24–27. They will be at the IMEX USA in Las Vegas, October 16–18, where the company will share a booth with the Croatian National Tourism Board.

Katarina Line will also attend the International Tourism and Travel Show, (SITV) in Montreal, Oct. 19–21, where it will join its partner, Tours Chateclerc, at their booth.

Representatives will return to the U.S. on Nov. 7, where they will be in the Orlando area to meet with local agents. They will have their own booth at CruiseWorld on Nov. 8, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The company will also participate in the USTOA Annual Conference & Marketplace in Phoenix, Arizona, Nov. 26–30, after which they will conclude their North American schedule with several additional road shows in the Denver area.
