MSC Seascape, MSC Cruises’ upcoming U.S. flagship, has completed its sea trials, clearing the way for the line to take ownership of the ship in November before it makes its way from Rome to New York City for a December 7 naming ceremony.

“MSC Seascape takes everything that’s fantastic about our Seaside-class ships and makes it even better,” said Ruben A. Rodriguez, president of MSC Cruises, USA, said.

MSC Seascape is the line’s fourth Seaside-class ship and the second in the EVO subclass, which sees 65% of the original Seaside-class design reimagined. Highlights include 12 different types of staterooms and suites; more than 7,567-square-feet of dedicated kids’ space; 11 dining venues, plus 19 bars and lounges; six swimming pools; and a 1,800-foot waterfront promenade.

It will sail year-round from Miami to the Caribbean on two distinct itineraries, both of which stop at the line’s Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in The Bahamas.
