Vilma Campos

Banyan Tree Mayakoba has appointed Vilma Campos as its new director of sales and marketing.

Campos brings more than two decades of sales, marketing, and leadership experience and was previously the director of sales and marketing for Hyatt Regency Mexico City.

“Vilma is not only an accomplished sales and marketing leader but also someone who truly embodies the values of integrity, respect, and collaboration,” said Peter Hecler, senior vice president head – regional operations. “Her ability to inspire teams, build meaningful relationships, and approach challenges with enthusiasm makes her a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and elevate our brand presence.”

In her new role at the Riviera Maya resort, Campos will help strengthen industry partnerships with her people-first approach.

Banyan Tree Mayakoba boasts 162 luxury guest rooms, including 34 beachfront suites, 121 villas, and the new two-story floating lagoon villas, each with a private pool. The resort also recently launched Sur Beach Club, the only adults-only beach club in the Riviera Maya, and has nine dining venues.
