Club Med, in partnership with Central Group Capital, has announced plans to open a new Club Med Exclusive Collection resort in Koh Samui, Thailand.
The 303-room resort will be located approximately a 25-minute drive from Koh Samui Airport. Guests can look forward to over 200 meters of private beach, as well as the brand’s signature Club Med programs, leisure activities, and elevated dining experiences. While the property’s design has not yet been shared, Club Med stated that the resort will be “inspired by Thai heritage and natural surroundings.”
Set to open in the latter half of 2028, the resort will be the second Club Med property in Thailand and the first in the Exclusive Collection, which is the company’s premium and luxury line. Club Med Exclusive Collection spans 21 properties, which include resorts, villas, chalets, and a yacht.
“This exceptional beachfront property marks an exciting expansion of our portfolio,” said Stéphane Maquaire, president and CEO of Club Med. “It strengthens our leadership in premium all-inclusive travel while supporting sustainable destination growth and local communities.”
Bruno Courbet, country director for Thailand, Indonesia, India & new markets, said the project is well-positioned for the growing appetite for upscale, personalized luxury: “As Koh Samui gains global attention, we see an opportunity to redefine ‘New Luxury,’ combining boutique intimacy with a human-centric approach focused on freedom, cultural openness, and seamless experiences.”
Further information about the resort, including booking details, will be released at a further date.
The project is one of several new properties under development by Club Med. The highly anticipated Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari is opening in July 2026, and a new Canadian premium, all-inclusive—Club Med Tremblant—is scheduled to open in December 2028.
