Four Seasons is coming to Charleston, now that Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced plans for a brand-new hotel and residences in the coastal South Carolina city.

The luxury brand signed on with development company Strategic Property Partners to build the eight-story property in Charleston’s historic district, where the hotel is slated to open in 2028.

“Like Four Seasons, hospitality is instrumental to Charleston’s culture, and we are thrilled to enter this market, creating new opportunities for guests, residents and locals alike to live, work and explore with our brand,” says Bart Carnahan, president of global business development, portfolio management and residential at Four Seasons. “In collaboration with Strategic Property Partners, we look forward to bringing our luxury hospitality offerings and unmatched service to this vibrant city and beautiful destination.”

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Charleston will feature 139 guest rooms and 36 branded residences, all within walking distance of top tourist attractions in the area. The hotel will also offer four restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool with private cabanas, and 7,000 square feet of event space.

In addition, the hotel will have a full-service spa with private treatment rooms and hydro-thermal facilities, a fitness center, and retail outlets.
