Mandarin Oriental has named Simone Biles, the world’s most decorated gymnast of all time, as the company’s first Global Wellness Ambassador.

The long-term collaboration will help shape the hospitality brand’s wellness programming, as Biles will share her insights with the Wellness Board, participate in campaign activations, and help develop initiatives that balance mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

“This partnership represents a new era in how we engage with talent, moving beyond endorsement to genuine collaboration,” said Alex Schellenberger, Mandarin Oriental’s chief brand and marketing officer. “Simone brings credibility, lived experience and global influence to our wellness philosophy. We are excited to elevate the conversation around holistic wellbeing and craft experiences that inspire balance, resilience and purpose.”

Biles began her journey in the role with a visit to Mandarin Oriental, Milan as an international sports fan and global wellness leader, marking a shift to this new chapter of her career. To kick off the new partnership, Mandarin Oriental, Milan is offering a Double-Double Glow immersive spa experience and the “Champion Chip Cookie”

“I’m excited to partner with Mandarin Oriental because we share the same belief that wellness is about more than physical performance — it’s about taking care of your whole self,” Biles said. “Throughout my career, I’ve learned how important recovery, mental wellbeing, and balance are. I’m honored to work with a brand that truly understands and supports that belief in providing guests with holistic wellness offerings.”

Biles and Mandarin Oriental are also collaborating with Laureus Sport for Good, a charitable organization that offers opportunities for young people to participate in sports around the world.
