Marriott International will soon welcome its first brand dedicated to luxury wellness as part of a joint venture with Lefay, a family-owned wellness hospitality brand.

Lefay, founded in Italy in 2006 by the Leali family, operates two properties, Lago di Garda and Dolomiti Italy, and has three in the pipeline in Tuscany, Southern Italy, and the Swiss Alps. Marriott has signed management agreements for all the resorts, while ownership will remain with the founders.

“Marriott is thrilled to collaborate with the Leali family as we grow our luxury wellness portfolio,” said Anthony Capuano, President and CEO, Marriott International. “Luxury is increasingly defined by wellbeing, purpose and meaningful experiences. We are excited to introduce Lefay to our customers around the world and thoughtfully expand Marriott’s presence in the luxury wellness space.”

The collection of Lefay resorts is defined by immersive, nature-focused destinations and a sharp focus on wellness. Designed as eco-resorts, the properties incorporate sustainable materials in their expansive indoor‑outdoor spaces.

Guests can choose from a-la-carte personalized wellness experiences or more structured, multi-day routines. The brand’s Lefay SPA Method blends scientific research with holistic traditions, and programs offer a mixture of movement, nutrition, and preventative health.

Lefay will join Marriott’s existing portfolio of luxury brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, EDITION and The Luxury Collection.

“Lefay represents a new expression of luxury, one that is wellness‑first, deeply experiential, and emotionally resonant,” said Tina Edmundson, president of luxury at Marriott. “As guest expectations continue to evolve, our collaboration with Lefay will allow us to thoughtfully extend our luxury offerings into a space where wellbeing is not just an amenity, but the heart of the travel experience.”
