New Opening: W Hotels Prague
by Briana Bonfiglio /W Hotels has revived the famous former Grand Hotel Evropa to open W Prague, its first property in the Czech Republic.
The luxury Marriott brand has also recently opened W Rome and W Budapest. The new Prague hotel takes the Art Nouveau-style building and showcases its heritage in a contemporary fashion.
“As we debut W Prague, we’re not just opening a new hotel – we are breathing new life into one of the city’s most iconic landmarks,” said George Fleck, SVP and global brand leader of W Hotels. “W Prague fuses the enchanted history of the storied destination with bold, visionary design, creating an experience that both honors the city’s deep cultural legacy and embraces its vibrant, modern energy.
“This opening is a further representation of W Hotels momentum in Europe and beyond, setting a fresh standard for what luxury can mean in the heart of such a beloved city,” he added.
The hotel features 161 guest rooms, including 23 suites such as the WOW Bohemia Duplex and the E-WOW Suite, the brand’s take on a presidential suite. W Hotels has added a new 9-story, elliptical wing to the building housing its public spaces. The two wings are referred to as the heritage wing and the contemporary wing.
W Prague offers several food and beverage options, including the upscale bistro Le Petit Beefbar at Grand Café; the W Lounge, Bisou, and Above Rooftop bars, and Minus One, the basement speakeasy.
W Prague’s AWAY Spa has a beauty bar, five treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and All Seasons Water Journey. The FIT gym rounds out the fitness offerings with all high-tech workout equipment.
