Preferred Hotels & Resorts added 13 new member properties to its global portfolio between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2023. The new properties range from an opulent Sicilian resort to an Argentinian vineyard retreat to a French Creole-inspired escape.

“Presenting a multitude of options for travelers seeking the finest, most authentic independent hotel experiences, these exciting new additions mark continued growth and development of the brand’s global footprint in key markets – including five new members from Catalonia Hotels & Resorts, increasing our already-extensive offering in Spain to more than 30 distinctive properties,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO Of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Here are some of the new options:

Lifestyle Collection
– Situated on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, the 23-key resort is surrounded by lush jungle and palm-fringed beach. Guests can enjoy a host of land and sea activities including snorkeling, biking, horseback riding, turtle conservation experiences, and ATV jungle tours. On-site amenities include two restaurants and a bar, complimentary surfboard rental, gym and in-room spa treatments, and more.

– Set in the heart of Porto, this property offers 68 rooms spanning seven accommodation types. On-site amenities include an outdoor heated pool, a restaurant, and circus-themed bar.

L.V.X. Collection
– Surrounded by a forest of oak, pine, and cypress, the Louisiana French Creole-inspired escape comprises 75 rooms and suites, all of which have exclusive access to the Watersound Beach Club white-sand beach and two beachfront pools. Golfers have access to two challenging courses.

– Located minutes from Sicily’s crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea, this property combines opulent European design and charm with ultra-luxe modern amenities. The 86 all-suite accommodations offer either a private balcony or terrace, and property amenities include a spa, private beach with complimentary transportation, and a restaurant, lounge, and pool bar.

– Each of the property’s 24 rooms and suites feature unique designs accented by wine-inspired scents, while each private terrace overlooks the hotel’s own vineyard. Guests can enjoy a day in the spa, a tour of the on-site fine arts museum, or dinner at a farm-to-table bistro.
