Preferred Hotels & Resorts Adds 9 New Member Properties

Preferred Hotels & Resorts added 9 properties to its global portfolio of independent hotels, resorts, and residences. Added between January 1 and March 31, 2023, the properties range from a modern chalet-style resort in the Austrian Alps to a 39-story skyscraper in NYC.

Highlights of the new properties are:

Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol, Tels, Austria (Legend Collection): Set in the Austrian Alps at 4,200 feet above sea level, this chalet-style resort offers 282 guestrooms with 32 suites. Guests can enjoy a host of experiences including seven dining options ranging from a gourmet restaurant to a charming alpine mountain hut; mountain wellness at the holistic spa comprising a panorama pool, Finnish sauna, infrared rooms, steam and saltwater baths; and a seasonal program of snowshoeing, sledding, hiking, mountain biking, and more.

Virgin Hotels New York, NYC (L.V.X. Collection): Taking up an entire city block in the heart of the NoMad neighborhood of New York City, Virgin Hotels New York City is a 39-story hotel offering 460 guest rooms, suites, and penthouses. Highlights include Everdene, a 4,000-square-foot dining and cocktail experience paired with nightly music and entertainment; an outdoor Pool Club exclusive to hotel guests; and more than 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Marino Beach, Colombo, Sri Lanka (Connect Collection): Located in Sri Lanka’s capital city, this coastal hotel offers such highlights as a zero-edge rooftop infinity pool with terrace and garden; 289 guestrooms, many of which offer sea views and private balconies; six restaurants and bars; and an on-site spa. Every stay includes a complimentary city tour.

Hotel Villa Real 5*, Madrid, Spain (L.V.X. Collection): Hotel Villa Real 5* is located in the heart of Madrid and offers 115 guestrooms and suites featuring traditional furnishings and marble bathrooms. The hotel also boasts a unique art and archaeology collection with more than 100 pieces of ancient art on display throughout the hotel. Guest can dine at the hotel’s classic tapas bar and restaurant, East 47.

• Hotel Beausite, Interlaken, Switzerland (L.V.X. Collection)

Each of these new member hotels participates in the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program. Advisors can book stays for clients at these properties via their preferred GDS using the “PH” and “PV” chain codes.
