Raffles Hotels & Resorts has signed on its first-ever alpine resort, located in one of the French Alps’ most luxurious neighborhoods, Courchevel 1850.
Raffles Courchevel will bring an intimate and personalized hospitality experience, with 50 guestrooms and suites, to the town’s Jardin Alpin enclave when it opens for the winter 2028 ski season. Accor, parent company to Raffles, is creating the resort in partnership with developer and owner Art de Vivre.
Omer Acar, CEO, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, said the new property “marks an extraordinary milestone for our brand, representing our first venture into the stylish world of alpine luxury.”
“The selection of Courchevel underscores our commitment to thoughtfully expanding the Raffles brand in the most coveted resort destinations worldwide. Raffles is celebrated for its highly personalized service, inherent sense of elegance, and unmistakable spirit of glamour,” he added. “Courchevel, with its natural allure and vibrant sophistication, provides the perfect match. We are thrilled to collaborate with Art de Vivre, whose vision and dedication align perfectly with our own, to craft an exceptional and completely unique resort experience in the mountains.”
The new resort will be set in the world’s largest interconnected ski area, Les Trois Vallées, which also boasts Michelin-starred dining, luxury maisons, and exclusive boutiques. It will offer dining venues, bars and lounges, gardens and terraces, a spa, fitness center, and rooms with sweeping panoramic views of the Tarentaise Valley.
Raffles Courchevel marks Raffles’ second property in France, joining Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, and sixth hotel in Europe, also joining Raffles London at The OWO, Raffles Europejski Warsaw, and Raffles Istanbul, as well as Raffles Lake Como, which will debut in 2027.
