Avanti Destinations has announced the addition of several new vacation packages in Latin America to celebrate the 35th anniversary of selling Central and South America vacations.
The FIT specialist, which works exclusively with travel advisors, offers custom and fixed-price FIT (foreign independent travel) vacations in Latin America, Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, North Africa, and the Middle East. Currently, the tour operator offers nearly 700 tours and experiences across 12 Latin American countries.
Avanti has unveiled several new vacation packages for LatAm, including three new customizable vacation packages, three fixed-itinerary/fixed-price packages, and 13 new sightseeing tours and experiences which may be added to any customizable vacation or pre-/post-package.
Avanti Destinations’ newest customizable vacation packages include:
- Flavors of Peru: Nine nights in Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cuzco.
- Authentic Panama: 11 nights in Panama City, Azuero peninsula (Chitre), Veraguas, Boca Chica.
- Waterfalls Expedition (Costa Rica): eight nights in Guanacaste, Arenal, Bajos del Toro.
Although the tour operator is known for its tailor-made travel services, Avanti Destinations launched fixed-price vacation packages in October 2024 in response to feedback from travel advisors. In total, the tour operator offers 19 non-customizable vacations in Latin America.
The three new fixed-price vacations in Latin America include:
- Highlights of Bolivia, using selected 3- and 4-star hotels: seven nights in La Paz, Lake Titicaca, Uyuni.
- Guatemala Escape using selected 4-star hotels: five nights in Guatemala City, Flores, Antiqua.
- Highlights of Peru using selected 5-star hotels: seven nights in Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cuzco.
The new Latin America tours include experiences such as a Costa Rican cooking class, Caribbean beach bike ride, and treetop dining; Peruvian art workshops and rainbow mountain hikes; an Argentine soccer-themed La Boca tour; a Lake Argentino cave dinner; Chilean vineyard tastings and sunrise hot-air ballooning; a Colombian sunset boat cruise and rural village visit; Brazilian culinary adventures; and a private after-hours Iguassu Falls tour with cocktails and live music.
“Central and South America are different from other regions in the world for several reasons,” said Andrea Fournier-Courtney, Avanti’s product manager for Latin America. “The people are friendly and welcoming to Americans, providing lots of opportunities for cultural immersion.”
