Michael Hook Named General Manager of FCM Canada

FCM Travel, the large market business travel division of Flight Centre Travel Group, has announced the appointment of Michael Hook as General Manager of FCM Canada. In his new leadership role, Hook will oversee FCM’s Canadian operations, a strategic growth market for the company.

With more than two decades of sales experience, Hook will play a key role in advancing FCM’s strategy and strengthening its presence across Canada. He brings a strong track record of building relationships, driving growth, and leading high-performing teams.

He has spent the past eight years at FCM, most recently serving as Director of Sales for North America. Prior to joining the company, Hook held various sales roles and leadership positions with the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Argonauts Football Club.

“I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to appoint Michael to his new role as General Manager of FCM Canada,” said Billy McDonough, FCM President, Americas.

“As we expand our business in Canada, Michael’s deep understanding of the business travel industry, proven sales expertise, and leadership capabilities will be instrumental in driving our continued growth and helping shape FCM’s future in the market.”

“Canada is a distinct and important market, and Michael understands the relationships, regional differences, and business nuances that matter here,” said Chris Lynes, Flight Centre Travel Group Managing Director, Canada. “That perspective will help connect the business travel needs of Canadian multinationals with FCM’s global capabilities.”

Hook’s appointment is effective immediately. He will serve as a member of FCM’s Americas leadership team and represent FCM on FCTG’s Canadian leadership team.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role and embark on this next chapter with FCM as I lead our Canadian business,” said Hook.

“Over the past eight years, I have seen firsthand the strength of FCM’s people and the company’s unwavering commitment to serving its customers. I am looking forward to building on that foundation and working with our teams, clients, and partners across Canada to deliver exceptional business travel experiences.”
