Tourism Cares Offers Free Resources During Travel Advisor Appreciation Month

Tourism Cares partners with destinations to create Meaningful Travel Maps.

In celebration of Travel Advisor Appreciation Month, global non-profit Tourism Cares is highlighting the powerful role advisors play in advancing sustainability across the travel industry.

Throughout May, advisors will have access to new resources designed to activate meaningful change, including Tourism Cares’ Meaningful Travel Client Checklist, a special sustainability-focused webinar, and free consultations with the Tourism Cares team.

“Travel advisors are uniquely positioned to influence the future of travel — trip by trip, client by client,” said Tourism Cares CEO Greg Takehara. Their role goes beyond booking; they have the power to guide travellers toward choices that are more responsible, community-focused, and environmentally conscious. At Tourism Cares, we believe that empowering advisors with the right tools and knowledge is essential to transforming our industry into a true force for good.”

The Meaningful Travel Client Checklist is a new free resource advisors can share with their clients. It is packed with tips on how they can travel more responsibly and sustainably. In addition, Tourism Cares will host a travel advisor sustainability roundtable webinar on May 19 at 12 p.m. EST.  Titled “How Travel Advisors Are Embracing Sustainable and Impact Travel” the webinar will feature advisors who are implementing diverse ways of sustainability into their work.

As well, during the month of May Tourism Cares is offering travel advisors Free One-on-One Sustainability Consultations. Typically only available to members, advisors can book time with the Tourism Cares team to receive personalized guidance on integrating sustainability practices into their operations and offerings.
