G Adventures is launching a new travel advisor training course for its popular line of small-group tours, National Geographic Journeys.

The new Journeys Agent Specialist Program will introduce advisors to the collection of 90 upgraded trips that offer hands-on exploration, with an emphasis on local immersion and social impact.

It is a one-hour course that is organized into three modules, all of which can be accessed on a desktop or mobile device anytime. The first module explores how National Geographic and G Adventures partnered; the second showcases what Journeys is and why it is different from a standard tour; and the third guides advisors in targeting the right client for the tours.

All of the modules include videos, quizzes, and a final test. Advisors who complete the full course will receive a National Geographic Journeys Starter Kit, which includes a personalized Journeys Specialist certificate.

Two of the advisors who complete the module and register by Apr. 30 will get a fam trip to Peru with G Adventures later this year.

“We designed this learning course with the greatest flexibility possible for our agent partners. We know they have many options and providers from which to choose. Once enrolled, they will have unlimited access to the course so it can be taken at whatever pace best suits their schedules,” said Sasha Albuerme, G Adventures’ trade marketing lead. “The idea is to help agents feel fully equipped and empowered so that, together, we can change more lives through travel.”
