Junior’s Restaurant and Bakery Officially Lands on the West Coast
by Daniel McCarthy /Junior’s Restaurant, the iconic New York restaurant and bakery that first opened in Brooklyn in the 1950s, is now in Las Vegas.
Junior’s opened its first west coast location at the city’s Resorts World Las Vegas this week. The 300-seat eatery is intended as not just a piece of the Big Apple in Sin City, but a time capsule to classic New York, with a design that nods back to 1950s New York.
The restaurant will be open for breakfast through late night. Aside from Junior’s classic cheesecakes—ranging from Strawberry, Chocolate Mousse, and Red Velvet to new flavors like Pumpkin, Key Lime, and Oreo—the menu includes some classic breakfast dishes and lunch and dinner options such as steak-burgers and sky-high deli sandwiches.
There’s also a full-service bar with a curated cocktail menu.
“We’re beyond thrilled to bring a slice of Brooklyn to the West Coast, nestled right here at RWLV in the vibrant heart of Las Vegas. My grandfather and father loved coming here, so it’s a dream to share our family’s legacy and the cheesecake that has charmed New Yorkers for decades with new friends and fans,” Alan Rosen, the third-generation owner of Junior’s said during a ceremony this week.
Resorts World is just a couple of years old. The property opened in mid-2021, marking the culmination of a long and often arduous development process, while kick-starting a revitalization of the then-moribund North Strip area of the city.
