The Newest Sandals Resort Is Now Open
by Daniel McCarthy /Sandals St. Vincent & The Grenadines, the newest resort from Sandals, officially opened its doors on Wednesday, marking the company’s entry into the Eastern Caribbean region.
Sandals held a ribbon ceremony to mark the occasion, with Sandals executives, including CEO Gebhard Rainer and executive chairman Adam Stewart, on hand to mark the opening.
“With its dramatic blues and incredible beauty, the Caribbean sea was meant to be explored. But at more than a million square miles, it was also meant to be discovered,” Stewart said on Wednesday.
“Sandals Saint Vincent unveils a little-known wonder we are proud to bring forward, not only for its show-stopping beauty but for the warmth and grace of its people. There is a joy here that pulses throughout and beyond 32 incredible islands. Sandals Saint Vincent was designed to honor that spirit, encouraging carefree exploration, pampered relaxation, and deep connection.”
The resort offers 301 rooms and suites across 50 acres of Caribbean lush. The accommodations include Beachfront Villas and a new signature suite for Sandals, the Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villas.
Sandals planned to bring much of the outside influence of St. Vincent into the resort’s build, including with Buccan, a large-format style dining experience, one of 11 culinary concepts on-site, and other built-in programming. Guests will also be greeted by a 300-foot linear pool that connects the flora-framed lobby terrace to the horizon.
From the property, guests can also opt to explore that local area, including via guided kayak tours to Buccament Bat Caves and bike trails that take cyclers around the property.
The resort, one of TMR’s 11 most anticipated hotel and resort openings in the Caribbean for 2024, is debuting with some firsts for the brand, too, including water taxi transfers for Butler Elite guests and included fitness and media rooms featured in select room categories.
