Hyatt Hotels on Thursday celebrated the opening of its newest property, the Park Hyatt Jakarta, the first Park Hyatt hotel in Indonesia.

The hotel occupies the top 17 floors of the 37-story Park Tower in the Menteng area of Jakarta’s central business district, not far from the city’s National Monument and National Museum. Guests will be able to walk to parks and retail nearby.

Park Hyatt Jakarta offers 220 guestrooms, including 36 suites, with standard rooms ranging from 615 sq. ft. to 915 sq. ft. and suites going up to 3,230 sq. ft. All rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views of Jakarta, including direct lines to the National Monument.

Amenities in rooms include deep-soaking marble baths, large flat-screen TVs, and classic Indonesia décor from jewels to paintings and shields. The hotel’s top offering, a 3,230 sq. ft. presidential suite, offers its own VIP entrance.

Food and drinks options start on floor 22—Dining Room offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu of Indonesian and Italian cuisines in a live-cooking setting; the Conservatory serves comfort foods including a menu of specialty teas, and The Bar offers light bites and beverages on an outdoor terrace.

Elsewhere, on the hotel’s top two floors, Kita Restaurant and Bar offers a menu of Japanese dining and cocktails with views of Jakarta.

The property offers 10 different function rooms for meetings and events, which can accommodate up to 750 total, each with an open kitchen and bar. Of those spaces, The Observatory, on level 36, includes open-air terraces and panoramic views of Jakarta.

"With Hyatt hotels operating in Indonesia for over 40 years, we are delighted to share that the Park Hyatt brand has launched in the country, introducing its refined hospitality and personal service to local residents and visitors from near and far," said David Udell, group president, Asia-Pacific, Hyatt.

"As more countries reopen their borders and travel confidence grows, Park Hyatt Jakarta is an exciting addition to our Park Hyatt portfolio, complementing new hotels that have opened in recent years in Auckland, Kyoto, Niseko and Suzhou."
