For the first time, Delta Air Lines will fly to Marrakech, Morocco.

Starting Oct. 25, Delta will offer direct service from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Marrakesh Menara Airport three times weekly. The airline will operate the route with a Boeing 767-400ER, featuring four cabins: Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort+ and Main Cabin.

Delta is also adding seasonal service between Atlanta and Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana—one of its most popular African destinations—starting Dec. 1. The airline will operate the route with an Airbus A330-900neo, featuring its signature Delta One Suites.

Africa is a growing market for Delta. The airline first entered the market in 2006 and has since grown Africa nonstop service to five destinations year-round and has carried more than 7.5 million customers on the routes.

“Delta’s new service to Marrakech and added flights to Accra strengthen our presence in Africa, offering more opportunities for customers to enjoy our award-winning service and premium onboard experience,” said Paul Baldoni, senior vice president of network planning at Delta. “Whether discovering Morocco or reconnecting with loved ones in Ghana, these routes enhance our network while reinforcing Atlanta’s role as the world’s largest global hub.”
