Delta Air Lines has officially announced a sweeping, multi-faceted redesign of Delta One, billing it as the airline’s largest investment and most holistic cabin refresh in nearly 30 years.
The new experience debuts this fall on transoceanic routes departing Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) before expanding across the global network in early 2027.
Here’s what’s on tap from Delta, all exclusively for Delta One flyers:
Expanded Pre-Order Window: Delta is pushing entrée pre-selection up to 18 hours before departure, giving passengers a six-hour extension over previous limits and making it the closest pre-order window of any U.S. carrier.
Sleep-Centric Customization: Long-haul passengers can now opt to skip the morning meal service entirely, maximizing uninterrupted rest before a light coffee-and-croissant approach to landing.
Exclusive Beverage Partnerships: Delta is becoming the first and only airline to serve Blanton’s single-barrel Kentucky Bourbon (onboard starting Dec. 1). Meanwhile, the wine program has been cut from four annual rotations down to two, featuring high-end Napa allocations like Silver Oak curated with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson.
Targeted Regional Touches: Alongside a new culinary collaboration featuring Chef Simon Hulstone, the menu introduces a Delta One Wagyu beef burger, a Champagne Taittinger sorbet float, and DASSAI 45 Sake on Tokyo-Haneda (HND) routes starting November 3.
Ground Infrastructure Scale-Up: The airline’s hybrid Porsche VIP tarmac transfer fleet is expanding from 40 to 70 vehicles across 15 key hubs by 2028.
Upgraded Amenities: The winter rollout features the nature-inspired Missoni “Winter Elsewhere” amenity kits complete with a functional wrist strap, alongside a second Missoni cuddle pillow on ultra-long-haul routes.
For advisors managing corporate and high-end leisure portfolios, this overhaul provides a compelling narrative for booking premium clients out of LAX this fall and major hubs next year.
