Alaska Airlines is expanding its map with two new, long-haul flights starting in spring 2026.

The first is new year-round service to London Heathrow (LHR) from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Alaska will fly it on its 787-9, which features its Business Class with 34 enclosed suites. The airline will also debut a new livery on the 787-9s starting in January.

The airline says that London is the largest intercontinental market from Seattle and will serve as a gateway to the rest of Europe for Alaska’s passengers via its partnerships with American Airlines and British Airways.

The other new service is a summer seasonal flight from Seattle (SEA) to Reykjavik’s Keflavík International Airport (KEF), which Alaska will fly on its 737-8 fleet.

Alaska says that London and Reykjavik will be the fourth and fifth of at least 12 intercontinental destinations that it will fly to from Seattle by 2030.

“We are seizing this moment to redefine the international experience and level up. And we’re doing it with the same relentless focus on safety, care and performance that’s always defined us,” Ben Minicucci, Alaska Airlines’ CEO, said in a statement. “I’m so proud of how our people continue to step up and deliver as we push ahead on these initiatives, with even more to come.”

Alaska, which is fresh off its merger with Hawaiian Airlines, also added seven new city pairs in the U.S., including its 45th nonstop from San Diego International Airport (SAN).
