After a $38 million renovation, Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort is now open in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Marriott completely overhauled the former Courtyard by Marriott property, which the company has operated for 23 years. Now, the hotel enters a new era as a premium oceanfront resort.

“Today’s travelers are looking for much more than a place to stay; they seek memorable experiences that combine comfort, design, gastronomy and an authentic connection with the destination,” said Efraín Rosa, General Manager of Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort. “This evolution of the property allows us to meet those expectations while maintaining the warmth and hospitality that set our team apart.”

Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort features fully modernized guest rooms, including 260 private balconies, a redesigned lobby and public areas, enhanced food and beverage options, infrastructure upgrades, and new service areas.

In addition, the resort’s design and culinary offerings now more greatly reflect Puerto Rican culture. The property provides direct beach access and is located minutes away from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport.

“Puerto Rico continues to attract travelers from around the world seeking authentic and memorable experiences,” said Ricardo Echeverri, vice president of owner and franchise services for Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America. “This repositioning allows us to offer a more complete proposal that combines a privileged oceanfront location, a genuine connection with Puerto Rican culture and the renowned hospitality of Marriott Hotels.”
