Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun, a five-star, all-inclusive resort, has just opened after the converted property officially rebranded to join Iberostar on Nov. 1.

The resort features 444 suites and a variety of services and leisure activities, making it a suitable stay for both couples and families. It marks Iberostar Hotels & Resorts’ 12th hotel in Mexico, where it now operates more than 4,400 rooms.

“We are pleased to strengthen Iberostar’s presence in Mexico, a key destination in our international growth strategy,” said Phil Mc Aveety, CEO of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts. “This new project reflects our commitment to excellence and to creating unique experiences for every guest. It also reaffirms our dedication to developing local talent, promoting a model of responsible tourism that generates long-lasting value for communities, destinations and the industry.”

Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun’s accommodations – all suites – all feature a private jacuzzi. Room categories include options with family rooms, swim-up suites with direct access to semi-private pools, and oceanfront suites.

The resort offers a variety of dining venues, including an international buffet, wood-fired pizzeria, the Star Cafe, and four specialty restaurants: L’Oliveto, serving Italian cuisine; Nopal, featuring signature Mexican dishes; Martinete, offering Spanish culinary specialties; and a Caribbean restaurant with seafood dishes and local recipes.

Located 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport and near the fishing village of Puerto Morelos, the resort is also a great launching pad for excursions to natural attractions such as the Great Mayan Reef and the Route of the Cenotes.
