Flair Vacations – the new vacation package division of Flair Airlines – has appointed Altan Demirkaya as business development manager for Western Canada as the company prepares for its official launch in November 2026.
Demirkaya announced his new role in a LinkedIn post, highlighting his plans to develop industry relationships, establish strategic partnerships and support travel advisors across Western Canada.
“I’m especially excited to be joining at such an important stage, as Flair Vacations prepares for its launch and we begin building our partnerships and opportunities across Canada,” Demirkaya wrote.
Demirkaya brings more than 15 years of experience spanning aviation, hospitality, tourism, business development and industry leadership.
His professional background includes experience with Air Canada, Best Western Hotels & Resorts and the FIFA World Cup 2026, as well as involvement in hospitality education and industry leadership through Skål International.
In his new position, Demirkaya will focus on strengthening Flair Vacations’ presence in Western Canada, developing relationships with travel agency owners and advisors, and identifying opportunities for collaboration as the vacation brand enters the Canadian market.
“I’m looking forward to being part of the Flair Airlines team, helping establish Flair Vacations in the Western Canadian market, building strategic partnerships, and supporting travel advisors as we grow together,” he wrote.
The appointment comes as Flair Vacations prepares to enter Canada’s vacation package market ahead of the winter travel season.
The company recently announced a distribution agreement with travel technology provider IBS Software, giving Flair Vacations access to hotel inventory across Mexico and the Caribbean through the company’s iStay Gateway platform.
Flair Vacations will build around Flair Airlines’ existing sun network, packaging direct flights with hotels, transfers, checked and carry-on baggage and in-destination support.
For its first winter program, packages will be offered from five Canadian gateways — Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver — to five destinations: Cancun and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico; Punta Cana and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic; and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Demirkaya’s appointment signals a focus on trade relationships as Flair Vacations builds its distribution network and establishes itself among Canadian travel advisors.
“To my friends and colleagues in the travel industry, particularly travel agency owners and advisors across Western Canada, I look forward to connecting and exploring opportunities together!” he wrote. “Here’s to new beginnings, building something meaningful, and the exciting journey ahead.”
