“More Than Just a Conference”- Travel Market Place Toronto Wraps

TMP Toronto 2025 was the largest-ever travel trade conference in Canada, with over 800 attendees.

The biggest ever Travel Market Place Toronto came to an end Wednesday afternoon, as more than 800 suppliers and advisors gathered for two days of learning and relationship building at the Delta Hotel & Conference Centre Toronto Airport.

It was the 11th year of Canada’s premier trade event for travel advisors, agencies, suppliers, and industry professionals and was sold out. The two day conference was hosted by Geraldine Ree and featured sessions and breakouts on topics such as AI, social media strategy and selling luxury.

TMR Canada’s Executive Director & Editor in Chief, John Kirk.

TMR Canada’s John Kirk took to the stage with an update and TMR Quebec’s Catherine Maisonneuve took to the stage to speak about their recent launch. There were also panels moderated by TMR Canada’s Bruce Parkinson and Marsha Mowers as well as a Trade Show on day one featuring cruise lines, airlines, tour operators and destinations.

“TMP Toronto had the right travel advisors there, those who are committed to learn and grow their businesses together with their suppliers,” Juan Carlos Ruiz, BDM Central Canada of Palmaia-the house of AiA told Travel Market Report Canada.

But while the conference was packed with valuable insights for advisors to expand their business, it also served as a vibrant social event, transforming into a sort of reunion for the industry.

Smiles and shenanigans on the trade floor.

“If you can only make the time to get to ONE industry event of the year, this is THE event you should attend,” travel advisor Brenda Slater of Beyond the Beach, told Travel Market Canada.

“As a 20+year veteran there are always GREAT takeaways, ideas and inspirations from new tech making managing your business easier to new products to consider for group or individual trips. As you probably already know, in this business relationships are EVERYTHING.

Being able to see everyone you work with in one place breeds such a great feeling of community. Hugs to all of my industry friends and partners, see you all next year!”

TMR Quebec Managing Editor Catherine Maisonneuve spoke to the crowd about their recent launch.

TMP Toronto first-timer Dorena Chin, an advisor with The Travel Agent Next Door, said she was impressed with this year’s edition and looking forward to 2026.

“Having been in the travel industry for nine years, I have been to a lot of industry events but this was my first TMP and wow!” Chin told Travel Market Report Canada. “I was impressed by the attendance – over 800 agents and suppliers! Interesting and relevant breakout sessions, I am coming away from these two days full of ideas and motivation.

The opportunity to network with colleagues, share ideas, meet new supplier partners and hear about the upcoming travel trends was priceless. I feel more confident about my business and the direction I am growing in! I’m looking forward to next year’s TMP.”

“We’re incredibly proud of what Travel Market Place Toronto has become — it’s more than just a conference; it’s where the entire industry comes together to connect, collaborate, and grow,” Brian Israel, Senior Vice President and Publisher, Travel Market Report told us.

“The energy, the advisor engagement, and the quality of conversations with suppliers this year have been outstanding. Our speakers fuel genuine dialogue, setting the stage for even more impactful conversations at our upcoming TMP Calgary conference.”

“We’re looking forward to continuing these important conversations and help advisors and suppliers build even stronger partnerships across the country,” added Israel.
