St. Maarten Will Drop COVID-19 Travel Test, Vaccination Requirements Nov. 1

Starting Nov. 1, St. Maarten will no longer require inbound guests to show proof of vaccination or negative test results in order to enter the island, the destination’s tourist board announced this week.

Starting then, visitors and residents will also no longer be required to complete an EHAS application, which effectively served as a mandatory health pre-authorization prior to arrival on the island.

Normal travel and immigration protocols will still be in place, and St. Maarten will continue to employ health officials at entry ports to test passengers who are experiencing symptoms, but the news means that travel to yet another Caribbean island is returning to a pre-COVID normal

Still, some, like Turks & Caicos, are still employing some kind of entry requirements.
