AIC Hotel Group has announced several new hires for its Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) department, representing a significant expansion to its sales executive team and a recommitment to the MICE sector.
The seven new sales executives will report to Luke Majewksi, associate vice president of Meetings, Incentive Groups, and Corporate Travel Programs. The team’s focus will be targeting key regions across the U.S. and Canada.
Majewksi has more than a decade of leadership experience in sales and marketing. He joined AIC Hotel Group as regional director of business development in 2015, and was upped to the AVP role in April of this year.
“Having grown within the company, I’ve witnessed firsthand the passion and dedication that defines our approach to meetings and incentives,” said Majewski. “I look forward to finding innovative ways to elevate our offerings and set new standards within the industry as we embrace exciting trends for destination events.”
AIC Hotel Group’s portfolio includes hotels across the U.S., Caribbean, and Mexico, including AVA Resort Cancun (pictured), its most recent addition.
The new expansion is just the latest move by AIC Hotel Group to bolster its growth. Earlier this month, AIC Hotel Group created a Host Agency Sales department within the sales division. The department comprises 13 business development managers (BDMs) across 11 U.S. regions, and is helmed by Laura Blanco.
“Supporting entrepreneurs and growing businesses has always been my passion, along with a deep love for the travel industry and world-class resorts,” Blanco said. “With AIC Hotel Group, I’m fortunate to combine both—focusing on a vital segment of the distribution channel while doing what I truly love.”
