Bahia Principe Hotels has announced renovation plans and reopening dates for two of its Jamaica hotels that were impacted by Hurricane Melissa last October.
Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway has undergone several renovations and will reopen on April 1, while a more comprehensive refurbishment is underway at the neighboring Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica, which will reopen on Dec. 1.
The properties will offer upgraded dining, public spaces, and other facilities once they reopen. Specifically, Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway will have an expanded lobby terrace and redecorated lobby bar. Its restaurants – the main Jazmín buffet, Picasso Mediterranean restaurant, and Thali Restaurant with Indian cuisine – will all be fully refurbished.
Further details about Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica’s renovations will be announced in the coming months. These are the latest Jamaica hotels to unveil transformations following temporary closures from last year’s storm; Princess Resorts and Eclipse at Half Moon also recently announced their reopenings.
