Club Med Makes North America Leadership Appointments
by Briana Bonfiglio
Club Med has appointed new leadership and field sales staff in the North American market as the company builds on its growth in the region.
The all-inclusive resort operator has named Michelle Catin as vice president of marketing and Frank Corzo as vice president of sales strategy for North America. The news comes after Club Med recently doubled down on its commitment to travel advisors with the relaunch of Club Med University
“Michelle and Frank bring an exceptional blend of experience, vision, and execution to our leadership team,” said Carolyne Doyon, president and CEO of Club Med North America and the Caribbean. “As we celebrate 75 years of welcoming generations of travelers from the U.S. and Canada to our resorts around the world, their leadership will be instrumental in guiding the next chapter of Club Med by expanding our presence, deepening our partnerships, and strengthening the connections that have always been at the heart of our brand.”
Catin brings two decades of experience and was previously senior director of marketing at Palace Resorts, while Corzo has more than 25 years of experience and previously spent over a decade at Palace Resorts in field sales. Most recently, he modernized B2B booking operations and led a successful preferred partner program as the vice president of sales for North America at Karisma Hotels & Resorts.
With their extensive experience, the two VPs will help travel partners sell North American staples like Club Med Punta Cana and Club Med Charlevoix in Quebec, as well as expand interest for resorts globally, such as those in the Maldives, Italy, the Alps, Morocco, Seychelles, Japan and more.
Club Med has also appointed Amy Zocchi as director of brand, content and earned media and hired several new business development managers (BDMs): Lauren Huber for travel advisors in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio; Catherine Arce for Texas, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Louisiana; and Kalo Hawxhust for Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., and Kentucky.
