U.S.-based investment firm Gencom has acquired The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, the company’s third luxury hotel acquisition in New York City in the past 16 months.
The purchase follows Gencom’s recent acquisitions of Thompson Central Park in 2024 and InterContinental New York Times Square in December 2025. Gencom has a longstanding relationship with many operating hotel brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, and this is its 11th Ritz-Carlton property.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park is a 253-key hotel in Midtown Manhattan’s Plaza District, offering an all-day restaurant, a club lounge with culinary demonstrations, the La Prairie Spa, and a newly renovated fitness center.
Gencom’s portfolio, which focusses on luxury hotels, resorts, and branded residences, includes properties operated by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, St. Regis, Rosewood, Thompson Hotels, InterContinental Hotels, Andaz, Fairmont, and Auberge Resorts.
