JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa is slated to open in summer 2025.

The Cretan seafront resort, located within the town of Marathi, near Chania, will span 100 coastal acres with 160 rooms, suites, and villas that all have direct sea access.

“Greece remains as one of the most attractive destinations for today’s global traveler,” says Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International. “We look forward to working with Vasilakis SA and SWOT Hospitality to introduce the brand’s legacy of extraordinary hospitality, thoughtful design, and enriching well-being experiences to the island destination of Crete.”

JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa will have five standout restaurants, including ÕNALOS, offering a “Sea to Table” menu with fresh catches from the Aegean Sea, and Anóee, an authentic Cretan restaurant with an open-fire cooking concept.

The new resort will also feature the ANOSEAS spa and Linovrochi, a nature-filled cave setting sanctuary that will hold private and guided meditation sessions.
