by Briana Bonfiglio
Kimpton Era Midtown New York has appointed Kori Yoran as managing director and Geraldine Burgos as director of sales.
Yoran and Burgos will lead the March opening of the newly constructed, 33-story property, a partnership between IHG Hotels & Resorts and Extell Development Company that will bring 529 guest rooms and four restaurants to Midtown Manhattan.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kori and Geraldine to lead Kimpton Era Midtown New York,” said Elysa Goldman, SVP of development at Extell. “Their exceptional experience in New York hospitality and shared vision for guest-centered experiences make them the perfect leaders to guide our debut in the heart of Manhattan. We can’t wait to see the energy, creativity, and momentum they’ll bring to the hotel and our team.”
The two professionals have a wealth of hospitality experience. Yoran has spent more than 15 years in the industry and has helped grow major properties in the city, including Hyatt Union Square, ModernHaus SoHo, Margaritaville Resort Times Square, and Dream Midtown.
Burgos has a strong background in sales strategy and building client relationships, having previously managed a sales team for a portfolio of 16 hotels while driving revenue and occupancy growth.
