Moxy Hotels, Marriott’s affordable, trendy hotel brand, is expanding to another U.S. city—Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The new hotel is scheduled to open in spring 2027 on the former Bradley Center site in Milwaukee’s Deer District, next to Fiserv Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Marquette Golden Eagles men’s basketball team. Construction is expected to begin sometime next year.

Plans for the hotel had been rumored for a while but were finalized by NCG Hospitality, which will operate the hotel, on Friday. NCG has expanded the Moxy brand heavily in the Midwest in recent years, including opening The Trade Hotel in 2023 nearby.

The hotel will offer 162 rooms across nine stories, all in the signature Moxy style, catering to Gen Z with stylish, affordable accommodations, including the lobby as the property’s social hub. In the announcement, NCG Chief Development Officer Andy Inman said the hotel will offer “a vibrant, socially connected environment” linked to both Fiserv Forum and Deer District.

Since launching in 2014 with a hotel in Milan, Moxy has exploded with new openings across the North America and Europe. There are currently more than 100 Moxy hotels opened globally, with even more in the pipeline.

By the end of 2025, Moxy plans to have 100 hotels in Europe, including new openings in Barcelona, Istanbul, Nice, Cork, and more.
