Marriott’s Moxy brand has officially landed in Downtown Phoenix.

The hotel giant late last week opened The Moxy Phoenix Downtown Hotel, in the heart of the city’s downtown, just a couple blocks from Chase Field, the home to the Arizona Diamondbacks, The Phoenix Art Museum, Heritage District, The Van Buren, and more. It is also not far from transportation options, including the Jefferson St. Valley Metro light rail stop

The property is the second Marriott in the city and Arizona, joining the Moxy Phoenix Tempe/ASU Area, which is just a short drive away.

The Moxy Phoenix Downtown includes 164 guestrooms, a business center, luggage lockers, and “Plug and Meet” gathering spots. For food, the hotel’s lobby includes 24/7 food and beverage options with snacks and drinks, along with an a la carte food and beverage menu and welcome cocktails for all guests upon check-in.

There’s also an on-site bar that offers wine by the glass, some local beers, and specialty cocktails.

It’s been 12 months of expansion for Moxy, which is now up to 150 properties worldwide, including 41 in North America, 87 in Europe, 21 in Asia, and one in Australia and the Pacific. Some of its new properties include New York’s Moxy Williamsburg, which marked the brand’s Brooklyn debut, and Moxy Downtown Los Angeles, a dual-branded Moxy/AC hotel that opened in April.
