Alila Mayakoba has officially opened in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, marking the Caribbean and Latin America debut for Hyatt’s Alila brand.
The 60-acre, nature-driven, beachfront resort features 182 guestrooms, suites, and villas with tranquil pools surrounded by lagoons, jungle, and mangrove. The property also offers six distinct restaurants and bars and Spa Alila at Mayakoba.
“From the moment guests arrive, we want them to feel at ease and fully present as they discover the connection between the Alila brand’s philosophy of mindful luxury and Riviera Maya’s natural beauty and cultural richness,” said Patrick Schori, general manager of Alila Mayakoba. “Every part of the resort is rooted in place – from unfolding landscapes and open-air architecture to subtle sensory details woven throughout the guest journey. Alila Mayakoba offers an experience that is grounded, intuitive, and deeply restorative.”
Nearly 40 percent of Alila Mayakoba’s accommodations are suites, including the Presidential Suite. The upscale rooms are marked by natural textures and a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, with private terraces.
The resort is family friendly and offers several Alila Moments, locally inspired rituals that guests can participate in throughout their stay, including a clay-based healing ritual, a mandala creation, and a water blessing.
Spa Alila at Mayakoba also incorporates traditional Mayan philosophies and techniques and is complemented by a modern fitness center.
