The first-ever Marriott-branded all-inclusive resort has opened in Cancun.

Previously Marriott Cancun, the property has undergone a complete transformation and reopened as Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort. It marks a new chapter for Marriott, which plans to open other all-inclusive resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Djerba, Tunisia.

“Marriott Hotels’ new all-inclusive experience is designed to empower and inspire guests of all ages to connect in meaningful ways,” said Drew Iddings, Marriott’s vice president of premium classic brands. “We’re dedicated to creating enriching moments of togetherness, and our commitment to tailored leisure travel will continue to strengthen as we grow in this segment.”

Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort offers 450 redesigned guestrooms, including 124 premium ocean view rooms and 38 suites with balconies, plus two luxurious Presidential Suites.

The resort has a wide variety of food and beverage options with 13 dining venues serving everything from Mexican cuisine to Japanese dishes to poolside pizza. These include the Greatroom Lobby Bar, HANA Polynesian Grill, and Sacbé Beach Shack. In addition, Alice’s Tamale Ritual, a mobile food cart, pops up in different spots around the resort throughout the day.

There are activities galore at Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort. Notably, the resort opening marks the debut of CAMP Club by Marriott, which offers daylong programming for kids. The 5,000-square-foot, indoor/outdoor space features a crafting area, dance lessons, CAMPitheater with singing and acting workshops, and more.

The resort also boasts an arcade, a fitness center, an adults-only pool area, and a waterpark with waterslides, a lazy river, and multiple pools. Plus, opening in fall 2024, The Workshop will be a place for guests to immerse themselves in local culture with crafting sessions, cooking classes, and other programs.

Nearly 25,000 square feet of events and meeting space is available at the resort, including four meeting rooms – one that can fit up to 800 people – and 12 breakout rooms.

Marriott is currently offering 20% off all bookings made from now through Aug. 30 for stays at the resort from July 30th, 2024, to Jan. 11, 2025.
