The newest luxury Marriott property, and 9,000th Marriott hotel overall, is now open on Florida’s Suncoast.

The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort, located off Florida’s west coast near Sarasota, opened its doors on Friday. The property offers 168 guestrooms, including 26 suites, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico on 18 acres with 800 feet of private beach.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of The St. Regis Longboat Key, a true testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled luxury and personalized service,” said Anthony Capuano, President and Chief Executive Officer, Marriott International.

The resort offers multiple pools, cabanas, four restaurants, a 20,000-square-foot St. Regis Spa, a winding waterway, and saltwater lagoon wildlife experience with stingrays, Galapagos turtles, and more.

The hotel is the only St. Regis to open in the U.S. in 2024 (others are opening in Aruba and the Dominican Republic) and the largest property to open on Longboat in more than 50 years. It is also Marriott’s 9,000th property overall, a major milestone for the world’s largest hotel company.

With the opening, Marriott now has 522 luxury hotels and resorts in 72 countries and territories. The company is not stopping, either, with 233 signed projects in 57 countries and territories.
