CLEAR Adds New Lanes at Tulsa International Airport
by Daniel McCarthy /CLEAR is bringing its expedited security lanes to Tulsa International Airport.
The company announced the additions, which are now installed at the airport’s main terminal, on Wednesday, marking its 53rd airport overall including 9 of Tulsa’s top 10 domestic destinations.
“CLEAR is on the side of the American traveler, and our lanes help make the journey as joyful as the destination,” said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker. “We’re excited to bring Tulsa’s travelers the predictable, seamless, and safe airport experience they deserve.”
CLEAR costs users $16 per month billed annually. Discounted memberships are available for Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and American Express members and additional family members can be added to existing accounts for $60 per adult per year.
CLEAR is not the same as TSA PreCheck, which offers its own expedited lane along with a lighter TSA screening process, which is something CLEAR doesn’t offer. CLEAR does give access to expedited lanes at locations outside of airports, including at some stadiums and arenas around the U.S.
However, there was a major change with CLEAR this summer. According to a recent report in the Washington Post, more and more CLEAR users will now have their IDs checked by a TSA officer, which all non-members must do. The change was outlined in a letter from TSA to CLEAR this week and stems from a security incident in July 2022.
