African Travel, Inc, a member of The Travel Corporation (TTC), will be offer 95 “Make Travel Matter” experiences across all of its 2024 itineraries, in 16 destinations. Each experience is designed to provide a positive impact on the wildlife and local communities that African Travel visits.

“We are thrilled to have surpassed our 2025 goal by offering 95 Make Travel Matter Experiences across all of [our] 2024 itineraries since sustainable travel is at the heart of everything we do and conservation tourism is a force for good while also educating our guests on ethical wildlife experiences,” said Sherwin Banda, president of African Travel, Inc.

Among the 95 experiences are two brand-new wildlife conservation efforts: a vultures breeding program in South Africa and cheetah conservation in Namibia.

On the 10-day South Africa’s Natural Wonders safari, clients will stay at the Shamwari Private Game Reserve where they will get to visit the Vulture Breeding Program’s wildlife rehabilitation center. The breeding program opened on Jan. 23, 2024 and currently houses 160 Cape and African White-backed vultures.

One the 10-day Namibia Luxury Train Journey, clients will explore Namibia from the comfort of the luxury Rovos Rail. Among their many stops will be a visit to the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF)’s Research and Education Centre, whose mission is the save the cheetah and its ecosystem.
