The Travel Institute Releases 5th Edition of TRIPKIT
by Daniel McCarthy /The Travel Institute, one of the industry’s education arms, has officially launched the fifth edition of its TRIPKIT training course.
TRIPKIT is the introductory program from the Travel Institute that seeks to give advisors the information they need in some of the critical areas of the industry. The course, which is spread over 19 lessons on a self-paced timeline, takes somewhere between 60 to 80 hours to complete and is designed as a “start to finish” course for both new and inexperienced travel advisors.
Mainly, it gives advisors an overview of ground transportation, accommodations, cruises, tours, and packages along with other nuances in travel planning.
The new fifth edition, which is available here, includes a number of new additions such as:
- New Insider Insight videos where experts share their wisdom, paired with “around the world” clips that help students further explore destinations from an agent’s point of view.
- Enhance Study Plan that incorporates feedback from college professors around three key pillars—agent capabilities, destination geography, and business acumen.
- A revised “How to Start a Home-based Travel Agency” textbook, which is authored by industry veterans Tom Ogg; Joanie Ogg, CTC, MCC; and Andy Ogg, CTIE.
- 5th edition of Exploring the World and the 11th edition of Travel Career Development.
“The Travel Institute has done it again! I couldn’t be prouder of how we have elevated our already industry-leading course to provide newcomers an even greater advantage as they start their travel career,” enthused Guida Botelho, CTIE, senior director of education for The Travel Institute.
