The newest London Marriott property is now open.

The hotel giant on Monday celebrated the launch of The Westin London City, a flagship Westin property located just north of the River Thames that offers 222 guest rooms and suites close to the heart of the city. Rooms include a Presidential Suite on the hotel’s top floor that includes a city view via a private rooftop terrace and a St. Paul’s Duplex suite with views of St. Paul’s just outside the window.

For dining, the hotel offers a number of on-site eateries including Mosaic, an all-day dining venue featuring global dishes. Other on-site amenities include Heavenly Spa by Westin and a WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio.

The new hotel is not just a landmark for Marriott in the U.K.—it is the first-ever Westin property in that market—but also a milestone for the company in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa region (EMEA). The Westin London City will mark the 1000th Marriott Hotel in the EMEA region and expects to add another 200 properties by the end of 2023.

“I’m very proud of reaching 1,000 Marriott International hotels across EMEA. This growth milestone is symbolic of our rich history and bright future, and it feels fitting that our 1,000th property is a fantastic Westin in London,” said Satya Anand, President, Marriott International, EMEA.

That growth comes across Marriott’s brands, including AC by Marriott, Moxy Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Aloft Hotels, Element Hotels and Four Points by Sheraton. Moxy Hotels, one of Marriott’s newest brands, is expected to add 26 additional hotels itself through the end of 2023, including Moxy Liverpool City Centre (UK), Moxy Paris East (France), and Moxy Pompeii (Italy).

Other notable openings include The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, The Doha EDITION in Qatar, the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge in Kenya, and the 200-room Protea Hotel by Marriott Accra Kotoka Airport in Ghana, and Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! by Marriott Polokwane in South Africa.
