Starting Nov. 1, 2024, Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun will no longer be part of the Karisma Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

Karisma clarified, however, that the Azul Beach Resort brand will remain in its ownership, and the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Chique on the property will remain in its portfolio.

“We are committed to making this transition smooth and seamless, ensuring minimal disruption to our mutual guest travel plans, and continuing to provide exceptional travel experiences, ensuring that each resort in our portfolio meets the highest standards of guest satisfaction,” Karisma said in a statement.

Travel advisors will still have access to loyalty reward program benefits and can contact the Karisma sales team with any questions. Karisma is also working closely with tour operators “to ensure a smooth transition and that your guests receive the professional and attentive services they are used to.”

Karisma noted that the dropping of this Cancun property is part of an “evolution” of its portfolio, as it’s also in the process of adding more properties.

“By bringing beloved intellectual properties to life through strategic partnerships with iconic brands like Margaritaville and Nickelodeon and by upholding the Azul Beach Resort brand’s promise to create unforgettable all-inclusive experiences for families and adults, we continue to set new industry standards,” said Esteban Velasquez, CEO Karisma Hotels & Resorts. “Our commitment to expanding our global presence, offering unparalleled vacation destinations, and providing distinguished, all-inclusive amenities remains unwavering.”
