Friedman To Lead Nexion Canada, Roemmele To Head Canadian Operations

Friedman To Lead Nexion Canada, Roemmele To Head Canadian Operations

Esther Roemmele has been named Director of Canadian Operations for Nexion Canada.

Jackie Friedman, President of host travel agency Nexion Travel Group, has now absorbed Mike Foster’s role as President of Nexion Canada. Esther Roemmele, a long-time member of the Nexion team, will step into the role of Director of Canadian Operations, managing daily operations.

Roemmele previously served as Director of Member Services. As a result of that change, Jenny Lloret will become Supervisor for Member Services.

In 2013, as part of Friedman’s commitment to market expansion, Nexion acquired a majority stake in Canada-based Uniglobe Instant Travel, an agency owned by Mike Foster. This business eventually evolved into what is now known as Nexion Travel Group in Canada, where Foster previously served as its President.

Friedman has been part of Nexion since 2004 when she joined as Vice President of U.S. Operations. In 2007, she was appointed President, a position in which she has led the company’s growth and operations in North America ever since.

“Our Canadian office in London, Ontario, is just a few miles from my alma mater, Western University, offering the best of both worlds — programs that are uniquely Canadian combined with the benefits that come from being part of a larger organization,” said Friedman.

“I know that the uniquely Canadian part of the business is important to our members.”
