In response to strong demand for its much-anticipated return to Alaska this summer, Azamara Cruises is leaning into its Destination Immersion promise with the addition of cruise/tours for 2027.
The offerings bland an Alaska cruise with pre- or post-tours to Alaska’s interior and Western Canada.
“The return to Alaska in 2026 reaffirms what we hear time and again from our guests, that deeper, more immersive experiences are what matter most,” said Shandra Stoeterau, director of land product development at Azamara Cruises.
She added that guest feedback played a “critical role” in shaping the cruise/tour offerings.
Pre- and post-cruise offerings will include four-, five-, and six-night programs paired with Azamara’s 10- and 11-night sailings. Each program includes hotels, transfers, luggage handling, escorted tours, select meals, and admissions.
Among the options are:
Alaska Explorer: Denali, Talkeetna, Riverboat & Rail (4 nights): Available as both a pre- or post-cruise option, this program includes sailing on the Chena River on an historic sternwheeler, panning for gold, a ride in a Deluxe Dome Railcar, exploration of Denali National Park, and more. Additional experiences can include a jet boat ride in Talkeetna and hands-on cultural programming at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Canadian Rockies: Rocky Mountaineer (5 nights): This post-cruise tour, which visits Banff National Park, Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake, is available in both GoldLeaf or SilverLeaf service levels on Rocky Mountaineer. Guests who choose GoldLeaf level will enjoy elevated dome seating, gourmet dining, and outdoor viewing platforms. Guests in SilverLeaf will have a more relaxed rail experience with panoramic windows and meals served at their seats.
Banff, Lake Louise & Whistler: Journey through the Rockies (6 night): Offered as a pre-cruise option, this journey takes guests from Calgary to Vancouver, exploring Banff and Lake Louise, with scenic drives through the Rockies, a bear viewing experience by Land Rover, local wine tastings, and more.
Select 2027 Alaska cruise/tours are also paired with transpacific sailings from Northern Japan to Alaska, offering guests the opportunity to explore Japan before crossing the Pacific and then continuing inland through Alaska and the Canadian Rockies.
