Air Canada Vacations Overhauls Its Technology

by Michele McDonald  December 08, 2016

Air Canada Vacations has adopted Softvoyage’s inventory management, e-commerce and electronic distribution solutions.

The move included a full deployment of The Travel System (TTS), Softvoyage’s enterprise solution for tour operators, across all major operational departments at ACV.

It also included a complete revamp of both the travel agent and consumer versions of the aircanadavacations.com shopping engine, on which the two companies collaborated.

TTS is an inventory management, reservations, accounting and back-end software solution built specifically for the travel industry. The system is designed to enable tour operators to apply multi-channel distribution strategies.

It supports the management of à la carte, dynamically assembled or pre-packaged travel offerings, using any type of travel product, from air to attractions. The system connects to most global supply sources, including GDSs and accommodation aggregators.

TTS is integrated with the Softvoyage Distribution Network – Canadian travel agents who use its Sirev shopping and booking tool — so ACV will benefit from “significant improvements in the distribution of its products across the Canadian leisure travel marketplace.”
