Arlo Hotels Appoints New President, Opens D.C. Hotel

Arlo Hotels has named Jimmy Suh as its new president, effective immediately, as the company opens its seventh property, Arlo Washington D.C.

Suh was previously Arlo’s chief commercial officer since July 2021. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry that’s included executive roles at Kimpton, Loews, and The Standard hotels.

“We are thrilled to see Jimmy Suh take on the role of President at Arlo Hotels,” said Oleg Pavlov, founder of Arlo Hotels. “His exceptional work ethic, thoughtful and entrepreneurial approach to innovation, unwavering commitment to guest service excellence, while fostering a diverse and motivated workplace culture make him the ideal candidate to represent the brand and the company.”

For the past three years at Arlo, Suh has helped with the creation of programs such as the If You Arlo program, working with social media influencers; and Arlo Means Business, offering exclusive benefits for small to mid-size companies.

Suh has also been integral to launching Arlo’s newest hotels in Miami (Wynwood), Chicago, and Brooklyn (Williamsburg). Arlo also has New York City hotels in SoHo, NoMad, and Midtown neighborhoods.

This week, Arlo opened its Washington, D.C. location, bringing its portfolio to seven properties. The hotel is centrally located in downtown D.C., close to the National Mall and Union Station.

The 12-story Arlo Washington D.C. features 445 rooms, an interior courtyard, a rooftop pool, expansive fitness center, and the Living Room Gallery Series artwork exhibition. In 2025, the hotel will debut Arlo After Dark with year-round music and entertainment programming.

The hotel has three eateries, all led by Michelin-starred Chef Pepe Moncayo. Arrels and Arrels Bodega will focus on Spanish cuisine with dining room, courtyard, and a grab-and-go cafe options. The hotel will also soon open ART DC, a rooftop bar and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, offering Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine and signature cocktails.
