Couples-Only Resort in Dominican Republic Is Getting a Name Change

The Temptation Grand Miches Resort Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic will be known as the Desire Miches Resort Punta Cana starting Nov. 13.

As Original Group, a Mexico-based hotel company, gains recognition for its Temptation Resorts brand in the Dominican Republic with its first property there, the hotel operator has decided to strategically switch the couples-only resort’s name to Desire to align with its sister property in Riviera Maya.

“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey as we evolve into Desire Miches Resort Punta Cana,” said Carlos del Pino, director of operations and commercial of Original Group. “This transformation is a testament to our commitment to offering our guests an exceptional and sensual experience. We’re enhancing our brand identity and ensuring that couples can expect extraordinary service and unforgettable moments.”

Del Pino noted that the plan was to name the hotel Desire from the beginning, but the company first wanted to gain brand awareness for Temptation. For many years, the company has run two Desire hotels and one Temptation hotel in Cancun, as well as the Temptation and Desire cruises.

“This guarantees that the experience for couples who visit Desire Miches Resort Punta Cana is unique, maintaining the standards and sensual concept that characterizes us,” del Pino added.

Desire Miches Resort Punta Cana is located 62 miles from the Punta Cana International Airport. It is a high-energy resort committed to offering “intimate, romantic, and playful” experiences for couples. The resort features a clothing-optional Jacuzzi Lounge, clothing optional pool area, a private playroom for couples, day and evening entertainment and activities, special events, and a variety of dining options.

The hotel is holding a promotional offer of nightly rates as low as $240 per person per night with a fifth night free.
