Grand Hyatt The Red Sea has just opened on Shura Island, as the budding tourist destination in Saudi Arabia continues to add more rooms.
The opening comes just a few months after Hyatt opened Miraval The Red Sea, also on Shura Island, located in the heart of The Red Sea, which Saudi Arabia first opened to guests in 2023. Grand Hyatt The Red Sea is now the island’s largest “destination-within-a-destination” for dining and gathering, with a large ballroom and nine food and beverage outlets.
“Together, these openings reflect our pace and ambition for growing our brands in Saudi Arabia, while giving World of Hyatt members even more ways to experience this extraordinary destination across two distinctive Hyatt brands. We are proud to be playing a role in bringing Shura Island’s vision to life,” said Stephen Ansell, Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Hyatt.
The new hotel also opens within a year that other major hospitality brands have opened on Shura Island, including InterContinental and Raffles.
Grand Hyatt The Red Sea features 430 rooms, suites, and villas with private balconies or terraces overlooking the sea, lagoon, or gardens. The property also have five swimming pools, a spa, and a fitness center.
Currently, two of the hotel’s restaurants are open, and seven more are set to open at a later date. Right now, guests can enjoy a live-fire cooking experience at Embers, the main restaurant.
