IHG Hotels and Resorts has appointed María Daniel Espina as the new area director of U.S. leisure sales for Six Senses La Sagesse in Grenada and InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort and Spa. In her new role, Daniel will develop and implement strategic sales initiatives and strengthen relationships with partners in the travel trade.

“It’s a privilege to represent Six Senses La Sagesse and InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort and Spa and to help to continue to strengthen their presence within the U.S. leisure market,” Daniel said. “I look forward to working with our U.S. trade partners and clients to showcase the unique pairing of sustainable luxury and unforgettable experiences that both resorts offer.”

Previously, Daniel led sales teams at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, 1 Hotels, Viceroy Hotels and Resorts, and independent hotels. She brings extensive experience in the luxury hospitality sector, especially at resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Nicaragua.

“María brings a wealth of expertise in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the U.S. leisure marketplace,” said Heidi Nowak, area director of sales and marketing. “Her appointment comes at an exciting time as we continue to expand our reach in the North American market.

“I am confident her strong relationships and strategic insight will further elevate the success of both resorts and drive greater awareness to the two Caribbean destinations, yet to be discovered by travelers.”
